More Entertainment Returns to Walt Disney World

More entertainment favorite are returning to the Walt Disney World theme parks this summer!  Guests can expect the following to return:

• Wonderful World of Animation will return to Disney's Hollywood Studios August 1st.  This nighttime experience uses projection mapping technology to transfer the park's iconic Chinese Theater on a journey through Disney and Pixar's 90 years of animation.
• Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor will return to the Magic Kingdom on August 8th. Here you will step inside the only laugh factory in Monstropolis and make your way into a comedy club hosted by Monster of Ceremonies Mike Wazowski. These scare-acters love to engage the audience. Don’t be surprised if you become part of the show!
• Beauty & the Beast - Live on Stage will return to Disney's Hollywood Studios on August 15th. Belle and the rest of the Cast will return to the stage in a lavish Broadway-style musical version of Beauty and the Beast.
• Turtle Talk with Crush will return to Epcot on August 21st. When you take your seat in the theater you'll see your favorite turtle from Disney and Pixar’s Finding Nemo up close. Through the amazing technology of the hydrophone, Crush will communicate directly with land-based dudes and dudettes and answer any questions that they may have!

There’s more coming to the theme parks as we get closer to the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort including the all-new nighttime spectaculars “Disney Enchantment” at the Magic Kingdom and “Harmonious” at EPCOT. These new shows will be debuting October 1 as part of The World’s Most Magical Celebration. 

“Disney Enchantment” will be evening extravaganza at the Magic Kingdom that will take you on a journey filled with adventure, wonder and empowerment. Inspiring everyone to believe in magic, “Disney Enchantment” will feature music, enhanced lighting, stunning fireworks and, for the first time, immersive projection effects that extend from Cinderella Castle down Main Street, U.S.A.

“Harmonious” at EPCOT, one of the largest nighttime spectaculars ever created for a Disney park. This new show will bring the globe together at World Showcase Lagoon in a celebration of Disney music that inspires people worldwide. It’s a grand, powerful tribute to the stories and songs that unite us, embracing new technical magic that incorporates pyrotechnics, choreographed moving fountains, lighting and media in new ways. “Harmonious” will invite you to travel the globe through new interpretations of classic Disney songs as you’ve never heard them before, reimagined in more than a dozen languages by a diverse group of 240 artists from around the world.

That means this summer is also your last chance to watch the current fireworks shows before they sparkle into Disney history. “EPCOT Forever” will show for the last time on September 28, and “Happily Ever After” will end on September 29 at Magic Kingdom Park.
