 Universal Epic Universe opens this May with amazing portals - one of them right into the world of Nintendo - SUPER NINTENDO WORLD. This new world will feature Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country. There will be so many things to do and explore in both Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country: Interactive activities, food, merchandise, characters, and three rides! Here is what you can look forward to in SUPER NINTENDO WORLD at Universal Epic Universe:  When SUPER NINTENDO WORLD opens at Epic Universe, it will be the first time U.S. guests get to step into the jungle of Donkey Kong Country. Mine-Cart Madness is one of the three rides in this portal. Guests will board mine carts that leap over gaps in the “broken” coaster track. This thrilling family coaster takes you on a high-speed ride through Donkey Kong Country as you help Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong protect the Golden Banana from the thieving Tiki Tak Tribe. With cutting-edge ride technology, your cart will appear to soar through the air from one broken track and land on another. After you ride Mine-Cart Madness, explore more of the sights and sounds of Donkey Kong Country, including a cool Rambi activity, meeting Donkey Kong at Donkey Kong’s Treehouse; Funky’s Fly ‘n’ Buy shop to purchase apparel, souvenirs, and other goods and treasures. And don't forget to stop at The Bubbly Barrel for a refreshing, tropical drink drink!
For Mario Kart fans, have you ever wondered what it feels like to be in the driver’s seat? Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge will take you on a colorful ride into some of the most iconic courses alongside your favorite Mario Kart characters. In this interactive ride you’ll collect digital coins and throw shells to try to defeat Team Bowser and win the Golden Cup. This attraction has multiple outcomes, so you will want to ride it more than once! For a family adventure, be sure to check out the views of SUPER NINTENDO WORLD on Yoshi’s Adventure! Search for glowing eggs throughout the Mushroom Kingdom on this colorful family ride, opening for the first time in the United States at Epic Universe.  PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES  Get your camera ready because the entrance to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD takes you to the second level of Princess Peach’s Castle, giving you a show-stopping view overlooking the Mushroom Kingdom. With the colorful Mount Beanpole and the ominous Bowser’s Castle in the background. For the character meet and greets you can get your pictures with Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad. Donkey Kong, can be found at Donkey Kong’s Treehouse in Donkey Kong Country — his first time ever meeting guests at a Universal theme park in the United States! TIME TO EAT!  At Toadstool Cafe, you can refuel with tasty entrées, soups, salads, burgers, and desserts made by Chef Toad himself! You will be able to view Chef Toad preparing his tasty, themed creations in the kitchen, along with the vibrant scenery of the Mushroom Kingdom via "windows" throughout the restaurant. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the view while you dine on dishes inspired by the Mushroom Kingdom including Fire Flower Spaghetti and Meatballs and Piranha Plant Caprese. Compete with Power-Up Bands  No adventure in the Mushroom Kingdom would be complete without a little competition, thanks to the Power-Up Band you can compete in interactive activities throughout the world. Win a Key Challenge — the five interactive games throughout Super Mario Land — you’ll be awarded with a digital key. With three keys, you’ll unlock access to Bowser Jr.’s Shadow Showdown where you’ll get the chance to confront Bowser Jr. to recover the stolen Golden Mushroom in a final Shadow Showdown. The Power-Up Bands also allow you to collect digital coins, track your score, and see how you rank against friends, family, and other guests.
The band is available for purchase in SUPER NINTENDO WORLD and other retail locations throughout Universal Orlando Resorts. Starfall Racers is a Roller Coaster Race Across the Cosmos A dual-launch racing coaster that sends guests rocketing through the skies aboard comets in a race to see who’s the fastest of them all. Reaching speeds up to 62 mph and heights up to 133 feet along 5,000 feet of track, Starfall Racers will be Epic Universe’s most thrilling coaster experience with unique maneuvers such as the “Celestial Spin,” in which the two coaster vehicles perform an inverted crisscross while speeding through the air – creating an “out-of-this-world” adrenaline rush. Go for a Whirl on the New Constellation Carousel Climb aboard the Constellation Carousel in Celestial Park at Universal Epic Universe. On this imaginative carousel, the cosmic energy of the universe enables everyone to ride the constellations themselves, including celestial lions, dragons, bears and more. Music and color dazzle your senses as you whirl and twirl together across the Milky Way. Wade into Atlantic for Exceptional Seafood and Steaks Across the shimmering waters of the Neptune pool in Celestial Park, Atlantic is an undersea culinary fantasy. Inside glass walls reminiscent of an enormous Victorian aquarium, starfish dwell peacefully with serene, illuminated fish swimming above you. Astronomica An interactive wet-play area that also doubles as a giant compass rose to the many wonders of Epic Universe, featuring crystal blue fountains that spring to life and dance around guests;
With this new gate at Universal Orlando, there will be three hotels! Universal Helios Grand Hotel; Universal Stella Nova Resort (set to open January 21, 2025) and Universal Terra Luna Resort (set to open February 25, 2025).
Universal Helios Grand Hotel, designed to transport guests to a world where the heavens and earth unite – complete with 500 rooms, one-of-a-kind views and its very own dedicated entrance into the theme park. SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ is now open at Universal Studios Hollywood! You can jump into the world of Super Mario™ and battle Team Bowser on the groundbreaking Mario Kart™: Bowser's Challenge, dine at Toadstool Cafe™, and level up with themed merch. It's a new way to play! SUPER NINTENDO WORLD features the groundbreaking “Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge” ride, as well as many thrilling and interactive activities designed to engage the entire family within the captivating Mushroom Kingdom. Along with themed dining at the Toadstool Cafe™ and shopping at the 1-UP Factory™ retail store, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD will be an inspiring addition to the world-famous Universal Studios Hollywood theme park. The land’s exciting Power-Up Band™, a fun interactive component designed to help guests level up their experience during their visits within the land. These wearable wristbands sync with Universal Studios Hollywood’s official free downloadable app and function as a complement to the land’s many interactive elements. The Power-Up Band is available for purchase in six design options with character themes, including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Toad and Princess Daisy; choosing a particular character also defines which Team guests will be a part of.  With the use of a Power-Up Band, guests can elevate the overall experience by competing against other teams to achieve the highest score throughout the day by collecting the most digital coins. To see who’s in the lead, guests can check their personal and team scores by linking the Power-Up Band to the app or by referring to the Checkpoint Screens located within the land.
When riding “Mario Kart™: Bowser’s Challenge,” guests are encouraged to tap their Power-Up Band on the ride vehicle’s steering wheel. By doing so, they can track digital coins collected as well as gauge their ranking against friends and family, when synced to the official Universal Studios Hollywood app. The Power-Up Band will enable guests to enjoy “Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge” over and over again in an attempt to beat their best scores. The Power-Up Band also unlocks additional gameplay activities and experiences, such as collecting digital coins and stamps when completing milestones within the land. Checkpoints positioned within SUPER NINTENDO WORLD will enable guests to track their status against others. Guests can also amass keys after winning Key Challenges from Goomba Crazy Crank, Koopa Troopa POWer Punch, Piranha Plant Nap Mishap and Thwomp Panel Panic – collecting at least three of them will ultimately allow access to the final boss battle with Bowser Jr. While meet and greet interactions with Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach are accessible to guests visiting the land, the Power-Up Band may provide an enhanced experience with the characters. The Power-Up Band, however, isn’t a required purchase to enable guests to enjoy SUPER NINTENDO WORLD. The Power-Up Band will be available for purchase within SUPER NINTENDO WORLD and guests are welcome to download the official Universal Studios Hollywood app prior to visiting so the fun can start from the moment they warp into the land via the giant green pipe. The Power-Up Band will be available for purchase at SUPER NINTENDO WORLD retail shops located in the theme park and on CityWalk.
