Simply Perfect Vacations is back from a Disney Cruise Line aboard the Disney Magic. We visited Disney Cruise Line’s new island destination - Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
For our visit, we booked a Grand Family Cabana to relax the day at and enjoy the new island destination. Here is a video tour of inside the Grand Family Cabana #2 at Disney's Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point!
Each Grand Family cabana is furnished with a large table that seats 8 comfortably inside. Also inside guests will have a sitting area with a couch, two chairs and a coffee table. Our sitting area also happened to have a pack'n'play provided to us as we had a toddler with us.
In addition to the comfortable seating, a small refrigerator was stocked full of beverages (water and sodas) and cooling towels - great for the hot day. In addition to the included drinks, snack - chips, granola bars and fruit - were also provided for snacking. There is also lots of counter space and storage cabinet where you'll find a safe. The ceiling fan kept the inside of the cabana delightfully breezy. Towels and sunscreen were provided so we did not need to bring any from the ship. In additon, there was an indoor sink - perfect for washing up before eating. Outside on the patio, we had three luxurious chaise lounge chairs plus a second seating area - this one had two love seats and a cushioned footstool - that was covered. The highlight of our cabana was the personal freshwater shower right on the beach. Best of all were the spectacular views of the Disney Magic!  Disney Cruise Line will sail to fan-favorite destinations in summer 2025, offering unforgettable family vacations around the world. Itinerary options include tropical getaways to The Bahamas and Caribbean from Florida, adventures of grandeur in Alaska and, for the first time ever, European sailings to the Mediterranean and Northern Europe on board the Disney Fantasy. Bookings open to the public on March 22, 2024! Disney Fantasy Marks Inaugural Season in Europe The Disney Fantasy will spend its first summer season in Europe in summer 2025, visiting incredible European destinations from Northern Europe to the Mediterranean from May to late July. Five- to 12-night sailings from Barcelona, Spain and Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy will call on picturesque ports of call throughout the Mediterranean, while one special 12-night sailing to the Greek Isles will feature three stops in Greece, two in Italy and the season’s only stop in Valetta, Malta. From late July to September, the Disney Fantasy will sail from Southampton, United Kingdom to numerous destinations including Spain, Norway and British Isles.  Alaskan Adventures Return The Disney Wonder will once again embark on adventures to Alaska from Vancouver, Canada, with five-, seven-, eight- and nine-night sailings from May to September. Families will encounter the breathtaking natural beauty of the last frontier, combined with the magic of Disney, on cruises to Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan, with port adventures that offer excursions to Alaska’s majestic glaciers and gold mining relics. Four Disney Cruise Line ships will homeport in Florida in summer 2025 with three ships out of Port Canaveral and one out of Fort Lauderdale to whisk families away on tropical escapes to The Bahamas and Caribbean, including Disney’s magical island destinations. The Disney Treasure, the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, will follow its inaugural season with seven-night itineraries from Port Canaveral to the Eastern and Western Caribbean. Its return to North America will feature two more special sailings: a nine-night Hawaiian Island cruise from Honolulu to Vancouver, Canada in late February, followed by a five-night cruise from Vancouver to San Diego, California, in early March. Before homeporting in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the Disney Magic will also offer the opportunity to visit Mexico on a Disney Cruise Line vacation. For the first three months of 2025, the Disney Magic will sail to Progreso and Cozumel in Mexico and Grand Cayman from Galveston, Texas. In April, the ship will set sail on a special seven-night cruise from the Lone Star State to San Juan, Puerto Rico that will stop at both of Disney’s island destinations, before returning to the Sunshine State for a series of three- to four-night sailings from Fort Lauderdale, followed by four- and five-night sailings from Port Canaveral to Nassau and at least one of Disney’s island destinations in The Bahamas.
