“Feel” History Beneath Your Feet
Why just think about the Roman Empire when you can touch it? In Avignon, guests can do just that as they embark on a VIP-access climb to the top of the historic Pont du Gard. This ancient Roman aqueduct and UNESCO World Heritage site has stood for nearly 2,000 years and remains one of the best-preserved Roman feats of engineering in the world.

And for those who prefer to stay closer to the ground, guests can opt to take in the views of these ancient columns as they kayak along the winding banks of the River Gardon. The Musée du Pont du Gard also provides a ground-level delve into the daily life of the ancient Romans who lived in nearby Nîmes through exhibits of artifacts recovered in the area.

Savor the “Flavors” and “Scents” of Southern France
It wouldn’t be a true adventure in France without sampling the country’s finest cuisine. From the rich flavors of chocolates and cheeses to freshly baked goods, olive oils and fragrant herbs, food lovers of all ages will be saying, “C’est délicieux!”

Adults will have the opportunity to taste local wines from one of the greatest wine-growing regions throughout the river cruise, including samples from Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards cultivated at the request of Catholic popes residing in Avignon in the 14th century. While in Lyon, these “Junior Adventurers” will have their own guided food tour with storytelling inspired by the world of Disney and Pixar's "Ratatouille.

Feast Your Eyes on the Beautiful “Sights” of Provence

The Rhône River offers the perfect backdrop to bring that dream to life as it winds through sweeping landscapes with rolling hills, fields of wildflowers, olive groves, and quaint villages – all bursting with vibrant colors. Welcome to Boston! Upon arrival at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), Boston North Station, Boston Back Bay Station or Boston South Station, you will be greeted by a driver who will take you to your deluxe hotel in the heart of Boston's Kenmore Square, just steps away from Fenway Park™.

Spend the morning and/or afternoon—depending on your arrival time—getting to know Boston. Your ESPN Experiences Coaches will be happy to provide recommendations to check out in this historic city.

Adventures by Disney continues its commitment to family travel with two new river cruise itineraries to Holland and Belgium. Beginning in 2025, families can embark on the enchanting Holland & Belgium: Tulip Season River Cruise and the Holland & Belgium River Cruise become immersed in Dutch culture, history and old-world charm, or families can join an exclusive spring departure to experience the legendary tulip season. 

These new River Cruise itineraries will delight guests with historic landmarks and hands-on activities for the entire family.  ​Marvel at the works of true masters in art, engineering and gastronomy as you explore Holland and Belgium along the waterways and canals that have long been an integral part of Dutch and Belgian culture.  Both the traditional tour and the tulip tour include iconic 18th century windmills, canal cruises through time-honored neighborhoods, art, architecture, and classic food and drink tastings, as well as city excursions, a pottery activity, visits to castles, biking through the countryside and more — all designed to take guests into the heart of the area’s storied history and modern-day influence.  Savor local flavors of Belgian chocolate, beer and stroopwafels, as well as Dutch cheeses that have tantalized tastebuds the world over.
