The Disneyland Resort is bringing back its nighttime spectaculars on April 22, 2022! The “Main Street Electrical Parade” and “Disneyland Forever” fireworks spectacular will return to Disneyland Park, and “World of Color” will return to Disney California Adventure Park. “Fantasmic!” is preparing for its return to Disneyland park on May 28, 2022. Upon its return to Disneyland Park, the “Main Street Electrical Parade” will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. In honor of this milestone, the Disney Live Entertainment team will introduce exciting new elements to the “Main Street Electrical Parade” that will continue to evolve this beloved spectacular. In honor of the parade’s 50th anniversary, the nighttime spectacular will return with an all-new, enchanted grand finale that celebrates the theme of togetherness. This universal theme is reflected in the creative concept of the grand finale sequence. Inspired by both the original design of classic “Main Street Electrical Parade” floats and Disney Legend Mary Blair’s iconic art style on “it’s a small world,” the new grand finale brings to life more than a dozen Disney Animation and Pixar stories. These stories will be interpreted in thousands of sparkling lights and electro-synthe-magnetic musical sound, with unique representations of beloved characters as animated dolls. As part the new grand finale passes by, Guests will see a different set of stylized scenes from classic and contemporary favorite stories such as “Encanto,” “The Jungle Book,” “Raya and the Last Dragon,” “Aladdin,” “Coco,” “Mulan,” “Brave,” “The Princess and the Frog” and more. Check out one of the early pieces of concept art, featuring Mirabel and Antonio from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Academy Award-nominated film, “Encanto.” From the Blue Fairy to a colorful, unique representation of Sleeping Beauty Castle, the grand finale of the “Main Street Electrical Parade” comprises seven segments stretching 118 feet in length, making it one of the longest and grandest units in the parade’s 50-year history. “Main Street Electrical Parade” and “Disneyland Forever” will be available for a limited time at Disneyland Park. When “Disneyland Forever” fireworks spectacular comes back on April 22, it will run weekends only (Friday through Sunday). “Mickey’s Mix Magic” will present its high-energy, projections-only show during the week (Monday through Thursday) until late spring. At that time, “Disneyland Forever” fireworks will then run nightly in the summer. “World of Color” and “Fantasmic!” will return to their regular schedule upon reopening.

Get ready to book your Disney vacation as things are getting back to normal!! Starting in July, the amazing nighttime fireworks spectaculars at the Disney Parks at returning!
The fireworks will turn to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida on July 1 at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT. “Happily Ever After” will transform Cinderella Castle with lights, projections and pyrotechnics, as moments from favorite Disney stories encourage you to grab hold of your dreams and make them come true. At EPCOT, “EPCOT Forever” will produce a spectacle of fireworks, music and lighting effects over World Showcase Lagoon, highlighting the themes of innovation, exploration, imagination and celebration at the core of the park’s past, present and future. As Disneyland park in California welcomes back all guests, “Mickey’s Mix Magic” starts July 4th and will be presented nightly throughout the summer. State-of-the-art projections, show lighting and lasers will transform Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle and the façade of “it’s a small world” into a dazzling, family fun dance party that goes sky high with fireworks to celebrate the leader of the club, Mickey Mouse. As a reminder, for both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, valid park admission and a park reservation are required for park entry and must be linked to your account. I don't know about you, but after a year of bad news, 2021 has been full of good news so far. The latest good news? After being closed for more than one year, magic is finally returning to the Disneyland Resort theme parks! Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are planning to officially reopen on April 30.
Theme park capacity will be significantly limited to comply with governmental requirements and promote physical distancing. Disneyland will manage attendance through a new theme park reservation system that requires all guests to obtain a reservation for park entry in advance. Requirements to enter a park include: having a park reservation; valid admission for the same park on the same date are required for guests ages 3 and up; and, until further notice, only California residents may visit the parks in line with current state guidelines. More details about this new reservation system will be available soon. Theme park reservations will be limited and subject to availability. Guests will enjoy unforgettable attractions, see beloved Disney friends, shop for the latest merchandise, savor the world-famous food and drinks, capture fun photos and cherish special magical moments. Favorite attractions at both parks will be open, from thrilling adventures like the new Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and the Incredicoaster to family-friendly experiences like Peter Pan’s Flight and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree. The newly reimagined Snow White’s Enchanted Wish will be open to guests for the very first time. Disney Characters will make surprise appearances along Main Street, U.S.A., and Pixar Pier will entertain and delight. Your favorite characters will show up in new ways and sometimes in unexpected places to be mindful of physical distancing. Certain experiences that draw large group gatherings – such as parades and nighttime spectaculars – will not return on April 30th but will return at a later date. A Touch of Disney, the limited-time ticketed experience which has sold out, will go on as planned from March 18 through April 19. Disneyland Resort will invite cast members and members of the local community to be the first theme park guests after more than a year of closure in the days leading up to the public opening on April 30. Guests will also have the opportunity to stay in the middle of the magic as the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort plan to welcome guests once again. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa plans to reopen on April 29, with limited capacity. Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and the Disneyland Hotel will reopen at a later date. The health and well-being of guests and cast members remain a top priority. Just as the Downtown Disney District reopened with enhanced health and safety measures, operational changes will be in place at the theme parks and hotels to align with guidance from health authorities and learnings from our parks around the world to promote physical distancing, enhanced cleanliness and reduced contact. This guidance is fluid and applicable at any given time as community situations change. With that guidance, many factors will determine the timing of when offerings may be available. Cast members will be available to explain our new procedures and answer questions Guests may have. Book your Disneyland vacation or theme park tickets with Simply Perfect Vacations and get our concierge services every step of the way from the day you contact us to the day you get home and everything in between. We will help you understand the new guidelines of what will be required for guests to visit such as theme park reservations and keep you up to date on what will be open for your visit!
