There’s more coming to the theme parks as we get closer to the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort including the all-new nighttime spectaculars “Disney Enchantment” at the Magic Kingdom and “Harmonious” at EPCOT. These new shows will be debuting October 1 as part of The World’s Most Magical Celebration.  “Disney Enchantment” will be evening extravaganza at the Magic Kingdom that will take you on a journey filled with adventure, wonder and empowerment. Inspiring everyone to believe in magic, “Disney Enchantment” will feature music, enhanced lighting, stunning fireworks and, for the first time, immersive projection effects that extend from Cinderella Castle down Main Street, U.S.A.  “Harmonious” at EPCOT, one of the largest nighttime spectaculars ever created for a Disney park. This new show will bring the globe together at World Showcase Lagoon in a celebration of Disney music that inspires people worldwide. It’s a grand, powerful tribute to the stories and songs that unite us, embracing new technical magic that incorporates pyrotechnics, choreographed moving fountains, lighting and media in new ways. “Harmonious” will invite you to travel the globe through new interpretations of classic Disney songs as you’ve never heard them before, reimagined in more than a dozen languages by a diverse group of 240 artists from around the world. That means this summer is also your last chance to watch the current fireworks shows before they sparkle into Disney history. “EPCOT Forever” will show for the last time on September 28, and “Happily Ever After” will end on September 29 at Magic Kingdom Park. If you’ve been waiting for your favorite resort at Walt Disney World to reopen, you don’t have to wait much longer! All of the Walt Disney World Resorts will be open by the end of the year! By staying at any of the Disney Resorts you’ll have access to the great Disney Resort perks including early access to the parks starting in October; complimentary and consistent theme park transportation; close proximity to the parks; access to discounted Magic Bands; characters appearing at the resorts starting in October; and much more. Here are the last resorts that will be reopening:
Disney’s All-Star Music Resort will open to guests on September 16th. This is a Value Resort at Walt Disney World, meaning that you’re getting a budget friendly resort with all of the Disney Perks with fun amenities including large themed pools; a food court for dining; a playground; and a jogging trail. This Value Resort has Standard Rooms that sleep 4 guests in two queen beds and Family Suites that sleep up to 6 guests! This resort is divided into sections that celebrate popular music genres and even have larger than live music-inspired statures throughout the resort - great backdrop for pictures! Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside will open to guests on October 14th. This is a Moderate Resort meaning you’re going to get more resort amenities (closer to the theme parks; pools with water slides; bike and surrey rentals; multiple dining opens and lounges; etc.) but are still very affordable. Riverside offers rooms that sleep up to 5 guests with their 5th sleeper rooms that in addition to the two queen beds, there is a child-sized pull down bed! There are also guaranteed King beds at this resort! Disney Princess fans will want to stay in the Royal Guest themed rooms that sleep up to 4 guests! Every inch of these rooms are Princess inspired from the headboards, to the carpet, to the faucets in the bathroom! This is also a dog friendly resort so you can bring your doggo to stay with you at the resort. Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter will open to guests on October 28th. This is also a Moderate Resort and it happens to be my favorite Moderate Resort as I adore the Mardi Gras theme through this resort and I love that it is a smaller resort so you don’t have to walk far to get to any of the resort’s amenities while staying here. Rooms here sleep up to 4 guests and there are also King bed guarantee rooms here as well. A neat perk for this resort, and its sister resort Riverside, is the water taxi that takes guests to Disney Springs. Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort will open to guests on December 9th. This resort, like All-Star Music, is a Value Resort. However, the buildings at this resort are theme after various sports and the larger-than life statues here are various sports equipment!
