Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Treasure

Simply Perfect Vacations was invited to learn about Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Treasure and we cannot wait to share with you all of the excited details we learned about this incredible new ship! The Disney Treasure is designed and inspired by adventure - in honor of Walt Disney’s passion for travel and exploration.


There will have experiences and spaces onboard that feature beloved Disney Parks attractions plus the stories of Disney, Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel. Fan-favorite spaces from the Disney Wish will also be found on the Treasure but infused with the adventure themed stories of “Aladdin,” “Coco” and “Zootopia.”


Let’s start our tour in the The Grand Hall of the Disney Treasure. 

The Grand Hall will embody the ship’s theme of adventure, with statues and décor that call on the gilded palace and wonder of Agrabah from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ classic tale, “Aladdin.” The space will serve as the ship’s most prominent gathering space and will offer its own dedicated entertainment moments and surprises.

Just off the Grand Hall, two casual walk-up cafes will serve a selection of coffee, tea, specialty beverages and snacks. With brand-new themes, the cafes will draw inspiration from two brave Disney Princesses – Moana and Mulan.

Named for Moana’s trusty sidekick, Heihei Café will echo the scalloped seashells and reflective blue waters of the storied Southern Pacific Isle of Motunui as it is portrayed in Disney’s animated feature “Moana.” Meanwhile, the Jade Cricket Café, inspired by the classic Disney film “Mulan,” will honor the Fa Family’s “lucky” cricket, Cri-Kee, who will be represented by a jade sculpture on the bar top.

New Culinary Adventures 
The Disney Treasure will continue Disney Cruise Line’s innovative family dining concept, where guests experience one of three imaginative restaurants each night, accompanied by a dedicated service team that joins them throughout the voyage, adding a level of familiarity to their dining experience.

Plaza de Coco will be a theatrical dining experience themed to the Disney and Pixar film, “Coco.” This theater-in-the-round entertainment venue will feature a central stage surrounded by dining tables, with performances and show effects that will spread throughout the room. Guests will dine at this restaurant twice.  

On the first night, the story of Miguel and his familia will continue where it left off in the film as they gather in Mariachi Plaza to take your family on a colorful, music-filled journey, including a dinner featuring modern twists on traditional Mexican fare and a lineup of live entertainment. Your family will be invited to join Miguel, his parents, Enrique and Luisa, and Abuelita Elena for a festive gathering that honors the heritage of music and love that runs deep in the Rivera family.

During your second night at Plaza de Coco, Miguel will reunite with his great-great-grandparents, Hector and Mama Imelda, as he transports them to the town square in Santa Cecilia with the help of his magic guitar. Together, Miguel and his ancestors will celebrate Día de los Muertos – Rivera family style – with a unique lineup of memorable songs from the film.

Worlds of Marvel is Disney Cruise Line’s immersive Marvel-themed dining experience. Celebrate favorite Avengers characters and stories, including an amazing interaction with Spider-Man. This high-tech venue aboard the Disney Treasure will offer a worldly menu and special entertainment, including two separate nights with distinct shows and dining, all inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

1923, named for the founding year of Walt Disney Animation Studios, will celebrate the profound impact of Disney’s animation legacy and bring to life Walt Disney’s love of adventure through a nostalgic collection of exploration-themed artwork from both modern and classic animated films.

​In addition to these main family restaurants, the new ship will feature quick bites, casual dining, 24-hour room service, specialty treats, gourmet cafes, upscale dining just for adults, and Jumbeaux’s Sweets. Jumbeaux’s Sweets, inspired by the ice cream parlor featured in Disney’s “Zootopia,” is where guests will be able to indulge in more than 35 flavors of handmade gelato, ice cream and sorbets, specialty treats, candies and more.

Captivating Family Entertainment
Families will enjoy both new and timeless Disney Cruise Line entertainment aboard the Disney Treasure through interactive storytelling, character encounters and Broadway-style theatrical adaptations of inspiring Disney adventures.

Sarabi, (named for the lioness matriarch from Disney’s “The Lion King”) will be a central hub for a multitude of daytime activities and adult-exclusive evening entertainment. The uniquely designed two-story space will feature cruise line classics such as “Match Your Mate” and “Family Time Game Show,” and new favorites that debuted on the Disney Wish like “Villains Game Night.” 

The Walt Disney Theatre will come alive with original Broadway-style productions developed exclusively for Disney Cruise Line – “Beauty and the Beast” and “Disney Seas the Adventure.” The former will bring Belle’s enchanting adventure to life on stage by incorporating imaginative elements from the live-action film and the classic animated feature. The latter will be an original musical spectacular that features beloved characters from Disney and Pixar stories alongside rousing renditions of iconic Disney songs. More details about a third, all-new show coming to the Disney Treasure will be released soon.

Hero Zone and the Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas will provide family entertainment aboard the Disney Treasure. Hero Zone will offer a progressive sports and recreation venue where action-packed physical challenges will blend with game show-style competitions. The Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas will elevate the onboard cinematic experience for guests to watch first-run films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm and more.

Fun in the Sun
The adventures will continue on the upper decks of the Disney Treasure. In an expansive pool area themed to Mickey and friends, families will discover seven pools staggered among tiered decks, an abundance of luxe lounge chairs, an imaginative take on fast-casual fare with a festive character twist and Disney Cruise Line’s own attraction at sea, AquaMouse.

The AquaMouse will feature a new adventure for Mickey and Minnie in AquaMouse: Curse of the Golden Egg! This water coaster will be suspended high above the upper decks, powerful jets will propel two-person ride vehicles through 760 feet of winding tubes, offering breathtaking views of the ocean and the ship below.

Little ones will delight in a Toy Story-themed area designed especially for families with toddlers and young children that will include a splash zone, wading pool, family waterslide and smoothie bar.

Adults Only Areas
Aboard the Disney Treasure, adults will explore, relax, dine and play with venues and entertainment tailored just for them. These adult-only experiences will offer sophisticated theming ranging from subtle inspiration to full immersion, allowing guests to customize their vacation according to their interests.

Periscope Pub will be Disney Cruise Line’s first venue inspired by the 1954 Walt Disney film “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.” Guests will dive into the mythical depths of uncharted oceans amidst the submarine-styled interiors and take a look at the watery world through an intriguing glass ceiling. In addition to watching the latest sports games, explorers at the Periscope Pub will encounter a menu of craft brews and light bites.

At Skipper Society, adventure awaits guests beneath a tangle of untamed foliage a centrally located outpost that will feature nods to the iconic Jungle Cruise attraction. The venue’s camp-style furnishings, paired with sly tributes to the trusty, dry-witted skippers, will offer an elevated, yet playful atmosphere where guests will indulge in themed cocktails and light snacks.

Fan-favorite, adult-exclusive dining locations will also return on the Disney Treasure. Guests will savor gourmet meals and exceptional beverages at Palo Steakhouse, Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement and The Rose, an upscale suite of epicurean excellence exclusively for adults, inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Beauty and the Beast." 

Senses Spa is a tranquil oasis offering indulgent spa and beauty treatments. The spa will feature private treatment rooms, lavish spa villas, and steam and aromatherapy rooms, while the reimagined Senses Fitness will offer state-of-the-art exercise and wellness facilities.

Quiet Cove will be a peaceful refuge dedicated to lounging, sipping and soaking. Set away from the bustle of family activities, this secluded adults-only district will feature a luxurious infinity pool, poolside bar and chic cafe. 

Accommodations
The luxurious accommodations aboard the Disney Treasure will balance modern design and nostalgic charm with a fresh, natural color scheme and custom artwork.

The staterooms on board are built with families in mind and feature upscale amenities. Most will include Disney Cruise Line’s signature split-bath concept, and many will offer the option of a connecting door to adjoins staterooms. Most of the ship’s 1,256 staterooms will offer an ocean view — including 877 with a verandah. 

For those guests seeking luxury and a premium level of dedicated service, the Disney Treasure will elevate the concierge experience. Concierge-level staterooms will have access to an exclusive concierge lounge with a private sun deck that serves as the perfect place to relax, sip a cocktail and enjoy a variety of food and beverages throughout the day. The Disney Treasure concierge-level suites will feature elegant interiors inspired by the majestic grasslands Simba calls home in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “The Lion King.”

Setting Sail December 2024
The Disney Treasure will embark on its maiden voyage, December 21, 2024 on a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida. Followed by an inaugural season of seven-night itineraries to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral.
